ELE SILVEIRA takes the power of this code and transforms it into the name of one of its most representative pieces. The MAYDAY bomber was born from the meeting of two elements belonging to the same universe: a silhouette originally conceived for flight and the material of an aviation life vest created for protection. The Life Vests are deconstructed to release their technical material. Each section is studied, cut, and arranged according to its original dimensions, turning the limitations of the material into part of the design. Its oversized silhouette allows freedom of movement and creates a commanding presence. Its volume amplifies the intensity of Safety Yellow: a color created to be recognized immediately that, within MAYDAY, ceases to communicate danger and becomes identity. The aviation Life Vest was conceived for a precise function: to remain compact, withstand demanding conditions, and become visible when every second matters. The trajectory of ELE SILVEIRA began at the intersection of two women, two disciplines, and two countries: fashion and aviation; Brazil and Mexico. Elenice da Silveira, fashion designer and Creative Director, developed her language through form, proportion, color, and movement. Her vision begins with a precise conviction: a garment should not merely dress the body. It should express identity, command a presence, and remain in memory. Katia Romero, aviator and Executive Director, brought a perspective shaped by a world in which every element serves a function, every decision carries consequences, and no trajectory exists without direction.
